The Augusta Coalition for Peace & Justice (ACPJ) is sponsoring a college level mini-course on examining the principles associated with the virtue of justice. The purpose of this course is to help the general public understand that liberty and justice for all can only be attained through civil discourse based on proper reasoning. The course is free and open to the public.
We have hired three philosophy instructors from Mary Baldwin College; Rev. Dr. Edward Scott, Professor Roderic Owen, and Professor Jim Gilman to each present two lecture/discussions (6 total) scheduled for consecutive Monday evenings from October 4th thru November 8th and to be held at the Staunton Public Library.The lectures will be held from 630pm to 830pm each night.
The series is sponsored in conjunction with Joe Dockery Chiropratic Clinic.

Classic Justice Systems
Dr. Scott will review early civilization justice systems, examing Homer's Odyssey, through Socrates/Plato/Aristotle, and touching on the Gospel of Mark and how they deal with the question of "Who we are, as opposed to what we are."
